Reflection on the Third English Assessment

This English Assessment is the toughest one so far. Our task in this assessment is to create 4 different academic writings (which are research paper, 2 partial essays, and multimedia text) each with a topic concerning technology and a reflection on the assessment (which is this post). My topic for this assessment is the development of environmental friendly technology. This assessment may be tough as there are so many things to work on, but I realized how useful this assessment is for me because I learnt many things in many aspects.

In this assessment, I learnt a lot of things about writing a proper essay I realized how important thesis statement and topic sentences are. Besides writing essays, I also learnt many new things about my topic which is environmental friendly technology as I did a lot of research. Last but not least, I learnt how to be honest to myself and my teachers as I must use citing and

Out of all the academic writings that I’ve done, I’m most proud of my research essay which is comparing and contrasting electric cars with engined cars. I put a lot of effort in this essay as I made the most drafts for this piece of writing. I have to do a lot of research, spend most of my time doing this piece, and correcting all my mistakes that I’ve done in my previous drafts.

I think I can improve next time by increasing my range of vocabularies. I must read as many books as I can and look up for words that I don’t understand in dictionaries to improve my English. I must also start using thesaurus as it provides some synonyms for words and enables me to use wide range of vocabularies and using the right choice of words.

Overall, I think this assessment is really important as it teaches me many things. I learnt few skills on how to write better essays, some new things about my topic, and how to improve myself. This really helps me to improve my writing skills.
